ELVIS is in the building - The Rose Theatre to be precise as Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society's Youth Section present Broadway hit, All Shook Up.

Set entirely to the music and lyrics of Elvis Presley with a surefire rock 'n' roll story, All Shook Up will ride into the Kidderminster venue on June 25 for four performances.

The clever book, by Joe DiPietro, features 24 Presley classic hit songs, including Heartbreak Hotel, Burning Love, Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes, It’s Now or Never, Don’t Be Cruel, Hound Dog, Can’t Help Falling In Love, and Fools Rush In.

All Shook Up, which is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, tells the story of a guitar playing roustabout Chad, who rides into a struggling midwest town and changes it forever with the power of love and rock 'n' roll.

Directed by Doug Forrester and choreographed by Cheryl Skidmore, with musical direction by Russell Painter, the cast of 11- to 16-year-olds will have the family jumpin’ out of their blue suede shoes in this well-tuned hot-rod musical.

Tickets for the show, which runs from June 25 to 27, including a Saturday matinee, are £11 to 12, and are available at online at rosetheatre.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01562 743745.
