POLICE has warned youngsters against copying extreme stunts after a video of two Newport boys climbing up the George Street Bridge has been viewed over 48,000 times, South Wales Argus has reported.

The video, which has sparked both horror and praise among viewers, shows the two teenagers climbing the 171 ft bridge before sliding down it with the road down below.

The two teenagers are part of Welsh group Feral Freerun, which has seen its five members scale landmarks like the Newport Transporter Bridge and buildings around Cardiff and Newport – but all without any safety harnesses.

Gwent Police are urging parents to speak to their children about the dangers involved and to warn them of the possible consequences.
