POLICE have charged a Kidderminster man following a stabbing which left a victim with serious wounds to his back.

Carl John Chamberlain, aged 31, of Dowles Road in Kidderminster was due to appear before the town magistrates today, having been arrested and charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The charge relates to an incident that happened in Offmore Road, Kidderminster at around 9.50pm on Tuesday, June 30.

The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained stab wounds to his back, which were described as serious. He was treated at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and later discharged.

A second man was released without charge.

Police are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the incident and it is believed the suspect is known to the victims.
