THE leader of the Green Party will be visiting activists in Wyre Forest to discuss the party’s role in the region.
Natalie Bennett will be the keynote speaker at the Wyre Forest Green Party’s Summer Gathering, which will be held on August 2.
During the event, she will be talking to local supporters and activists about the future of Green politics in the region.
She will also be meeting local campaigners and visiting important locations within the area. An itinerary will be published closer to the date.
Wyre Forest Green campaigner, Natalie McVey said: “Natalie Bennett is one of the most inspirational women in British politics.
“Over the last year she has overseen the Green Surge, whereby the Green Party’s membership has increased to see it pass both UKIP and the Liberal Democrats.
“She has struck a particular chord with young voters; something few other politicians have done. We are delighted to welcome her to Wyre Forest.”
