A 23-YEAR-OLD Bewdley man has appeared in court after police allegedly found evidence from his Facebook account he had "text sex" with a child.

Nathan Morris, of Queensway, is said to have got a girl, aged between 13 to 15, to take part in "text sex" with him and to send him intimate images of herself between June 20 and July 13 last year.

As well as being charged with causing or inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, Morris is also charged with causing or inciting a child to prostitution or pornography, which is alleged to have taken place on July 12 last year.

Morris also has three separate charges of possessing indecent images of a child, alleged to have been found on his computer from June 21, July 4, and July 12 last year, and two charges of possessing extreme pornographic images involving adults and animals, totalling more than 300 pictures, from various dates between April 3 and July 18 last year.

The defendant gave no indication of a plea when he appeared before magistrates at the Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 30.

District Judge Nigel Cadbury deemed the offences too serious for the court and sent him to Worcester Crown Court. He was granted unconditional bail to appear on November 16.
