HEALTH bosses are encouraging Wyre Forest residents to plan ahead this bank holiday and to pick up any repeat prescriptions early to make sure they have enough to see them through.
Anyone taking regular medication is being urged to make sure they have ordered their prescriptions in advance of the bank holiday so they are not at risk of running out.
There will be changes to opening times for some local healthcare services over the bank holiday weekend, including some closures on Monday (August 31). However, there will always be somewhere to go for medical treatment and advice.
Many minor complaints can be treated by staying at home, getting plenty of rest and making sure you have a well-stocked medicine cabinet.
Pharmacies aren’t just the place to pick up prescriptions; they’re trained to offer expert medical advice to help people treat themselves for many common conditions, such as colds, flu, stomach bugs and aches and pains. They will also be able to help you access other medical services if you need them.
A list of pharmacy opening times for Monday (August 31) can be found at www.isaandeforme.com.
