VISITORS to a Kidderminster opticians will be greeted by a beach oasis as the store fundraises for Sight Concern today (Saturday).

The Specsavers store, in Coventry Street, will be decked out in palm trees with staff donning their shades to serve up ice creams and goody bags to young children.

Customers will have the chance to pick up a raffle ticket in return for a donation to the sight related charity, and anyone who purchases a pair of glasses between Monday, August 24, and Friday, August 28, will receive a free sight test.

Timothy Reeves, store director, said: “We are delighted to be support Sight Concern who do wonders in the local area.

“We want to raise as much money as we possibly can for them and the beach day is just the start.

“We hope to see as many customers join in the fun, and hope the weather holds out.”

Sight Concern Worcestershire is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with sight loss in the county. They support blind and partially sighted people to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
