NATURAL history broadcaster Brett Westwood will give a talk on the importance of Hartlebury Common Nature Reserve.

The event, which has been organised by Hartlebury Common Local Group, will take place at Stourport Sports Club in Kingsway on Monday, September 7, at 8pm.

Members of the audience will be able to quiz Mr Westwood, who is well-known as a writer and BBC presenter, during an informal question and answer session.

The Worcestershire-based naturalist has produced and presented many episodes of Radio 4 nature and environmental programmes such as The Living World, Nature and the animal migration series On the Move.

The award-winning first series of Tweet of the Day - a wildlife celebrity-led radio programme on bird calls - was mostly scripted by Mr Westwood, who also presented the September 2014 episodes. He followed it up with a co-authored book of the same name.

More recently he was a presenter on BBC's Springwatch Unsprung.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the event, with entry costing £3.
