A RANGE of locally produced beers and ciders will be offering customers some extra cheer at Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, next weekend.
The centre is staging a local beer and cider festival in a hop-filled marquee in the store’s restaurant garden.
The festival, from 11am to 5.30pm on Saturday 10 and from 11am to 4.30pm on Sunday) includes brews from Sadlers; Hobsons Brewery; The Friday Beer Co; Two Towers Brewery; Birds Brewery; Hogans Cider, Oldfields Orchard cider and Once Upon a Tree Cider.
Chairman Ed Webb explained: “We already stock a wide variety of locally brewed beers and ciders in our food hall but we wanted to give our customers this great opportunity to taste local produce under one roof, to compare and contrast and buy their favourites.
“It’s a wonderful way to go into the autumn season, surrounded by hops and golden, tasty beers and ciders.”
Webbs has a long history linked with brewing as the original Edward Webb and Sons grew and traded hops and malt barley which is an essential part of the beer making process.
