Traffic is already building up around the Black Country, especially at the traffic lights at Burnt Tree and Sedgley Road East in Dudley.

Motorists in Walsall should expect delays and approach the M6 J10 island with care due to traffic light failure and be aware of slow traffic on Birmingham Road southbound between the junction of Walstead Road and the M6 J7 island as drivers divert away from the closure of the entry slip road at M6 J9.

A number of ongoing roadworks are still causing delays across the Black Country and North Worcestershire.

They are:

Bromsgrove – One lane is closed on the A38 at the A448 Stratford Road junction because of grass cutting.

Kidderminster – Temporary traffic lights are causing delays on Chester Road North between the junctions of Hurcott Road and Rose Theatre mini roundabout and Chester Road South at the Hill Grove Crescent junction.

There are also temporary traffic lights on Hurcott Road between the junctions with Long Acre and Shrubbery Street.

Redditch – Delays are expected on Hewell Road at the Batchley Road junction because of temporary traffic lights.

DudleyPriory Road in the town centre is closed in both directions between the junctions with Ednam Road and The Broadway due to resurfacing work. National Express West Midlands bus services 1, 126 and 257 are being diverted.

Cradley Heath – High Street is closed between the junctions with Cradley Road and Prince Street due to gas main work.

Rowley Regis – Temporary traffic lights on Beeches Road are causing delays between the junctions with Holly Road and Darby Street.
