WYRE Forest fell silent on Remembrance Sunday as hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects to servicemen and women killed in conflicts around the world.
A parade in Kidderminster on Sunday marched from New Road to St Mary and All Saints Church for a short service outside at the memorial, followed by another service inside the church.
In Stourport a service was held at St Wulstan’s and St Thomas Canterbury Church following a march through the town and a two minutes silence at the war memorial.
In Bewdley a parade marched through the town to the war memorial outside St Anne’s Church followed by a traditional church service. There was also a wreath laying ceremony followed by a church service at All Saints Church, in Wribbenhall.
In Wolverley a service was held at St John’s Baptist Church and tributes were paid to those who served in the armed forces at St Peter’s Church in Cookley.
