THOUSANDS of people turned out in Stourport to enjoy one of the biggest annual festive parades in the town.

The Three Kings Parade and Christmas Lights switch-on event was held on Friday (November 20) and saw a huge crowd enjoy the festive fun.

More than a 1,000 people, including pupils from schools across the town, marched from the Civic Centre to the Civic Hall as part of the Three Kings Parade.

A BROCKMOOR man has appeared in court charged with possession of an imitation firearm following reports that someone was armed with a gun in Brierley Hill.

Liam Palmer, of Cressett Lane, was arrested on Saturday (November 22) after officers were called to Level Street at about 1pm to reports of an armed man at the business district in Waterfront Way.

THE axe is hanging over three GP practices in Dudley, Gornal and Wordsley in a drive by doctors to cut costs and centralise services.

GPs at the Lower Gornal Medical Practice are consulting patients about plans to close their Masefield Road branch, blaming a cut in their budget.

The partners at Wordsley Green Surgery aim to shut their Market Street branch, saying the building "does not lend itself to the provision of modern day general practice services".
