CUSTOMERS and staff at a Kidderminster supermarket have been collecting toys in store to donate to a local children’s charity.
More than 80 toys were collected by Sainsbury’s in Carpet Traders Way which have been taken to Kemp Children’s Bereavement Centre, in Mason Road.
The toys will be used in the centre for role play, counselling and residential weekends away to help children deal with the heartbreak of losing someone close to them.
Jo Pocierznicki, PR ambassador for Kidderminster Sainsbury’s, said: “We are now in our fifth year of the toy donation scheme, and it was a pleasure to take these to Kemp, and I hope it will bring some comfort and joy to these children who have lost loved ones.
“Christmas can be a very difficult time of year.”
