MAGISTRATES have slapped a Criminal Behaviour Order on an anti-social Kidderminster woman who had committed a string of offences in the town.
Rebecca Canty, of Park Street, Kidderminster, was handed the four-year CBO at a hearing at the town’s court on Thursday, November 19.
The court was told that the 37-year-old had been involved in criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.
This included drinking in public, acting in an aggressive and abusive manner when she was drunk in and around the town
She was also known to ask people for money, commit theft and use homophobic remarks.
As a result of the order, Canty cannot behave in a way that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person.
This includes using foul, abusive or offensive language or gestures or behaving in an aggressive or intimidating way.
Canty also cannot beg or loiter in any place for the purpose of begging, or approach people and ask them for money, and she cannot be in possession of an open vessel containing alcohol in an area where the consumption of alcohol is prohibited by law.
She was warned that if she breaches this order she could face a jail sentence.
