A KIDDERMINSTER supermarket will not only be filled with Christmas food ready for the big day, but it will also be filled with charity activities and festive music to get customers excited for the holiday season.

On Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, Josh’s Prayers, which helps families who have lost children, will be in store to raise awareness and funds for this charity. Customers can donate on the day or can find out more information about the charity. Christmas Minnie and Mickey Mouse will be making appearances through out these two days.

Stourport Brass Band has been invited to entertain customers and spread festive cheer. The group will be in store on Wednesday, December 16, from 7pm performing popular Christmas favourites.

Crackerjacks, the store’s local charity partner, has been invited to help customers pack their bags at the checkout and raise crucial funds to support disabled children.

The local branch of the scouts will also be in throughout the Christmas period to help them raise the vital funds they need.

The big man in red will be visiting on Sunday, December 20, when customers will be able to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes with him – helping to bring an extra special, magical experience to the store.

Helen Bower, PR ambassador for Sainsbury’s Kidderminster, said: "We’ve got a wonderful selection of festive activities going on during the lead up to Christmas – all helping to raise vital funds for charity. Christmas is for sharing and we’re looking forward to helping our local community during this time. We’d like to wish our customers a very Merry Christmas."
