AN EXTRA 23 parking spaces are being created at Gardeners Meadow Car Park, in Bewdley, in January thanks to Wyre Forest District Council investment.
Work on the car park will commence week beginning Monday, January 4, and is scheduled for completion on Monday, January 25. The car park will remain open during the works and the affected area will be cordoned off with appropriate signage.
Councillor Ian Hardiman, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for operational services, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to invest in these car park improvements. The expansion of Gardeners Meadow will be of benefit to residents, businesses and visitors to Bewdley. Work will soon be underway and completed in just three weeks. This work is part of the investment we have made in support of Bewdley’s new Medical Centre being retained in the heart of the town and is part of the wider on street and off street parking measures we have made to protect overall parking numbers.”
