THE classic tale of Robin Hood was given a Wyre Forest makeover in the Wolverley Village Player’s latest sell-out pantomime.
The group produced another sell-out four night run at Wolverley Memorial Hall, with ‘Robin Hood in 50 Shades of Green’ – a local version of the traditional story which followed the hero on his journey, after his famed success in Nottingham, as he travelled to Wolverley to seek his one true love and help save the village from the evil Sheriff.
The cast and crew of Wolverley Village Players are made up of local people who get together to entertain in an annual pantomime since their conception in 2013.
Beverley Brazier, director, said: “The pantomime relies on the enthusiasm and drive of its members to create the script, the costumes and music which come together to put on a great show that entertains the local audience, but above all it involves a real sense of community and lots of fun.”
