WOLVERLEY students are ready to rock into the future with their latest musical production.

Students at Wolverley CE Secondary School are preparing to stage the popular musical “We Will Rock You” between Wednesday, February 10, and Friday, February 12.

The musical was written by musician Ben Elton and is based on songs performed by Queen.

The story is set in the future where musical instruments are banned by the killer queen, but a hidden rebellious gang called the bohemians decide to search for the hidden music and bring down the dictatorship they live under.

A spokesman for the school said: “It is a lively show with all of the classics including Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, Somebody to Love and Killer Queen – it is a show not to be missed.

“Wolverley have a cast of more than 40 students in the show and, alongside some amazing costumes and sets, the students are now set to tell their story.”

Tickets are on sale at the Blakeshall Lane school at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
