YOUNG people in Wyre Forest are being invited to take part in a new project at Kidderminster Library called 'Reading Hack'.

'Reading Hack' is about encouraging young people aged between 13 and 24 to read more, looking at new ways of turning reading on its head and planning projects based on new concepts.

It is led by young people on a voluntary basis and gives them opportunities to learn new skills which can be put onto college applications, CVs or university applications.

Hannah Smith-Edwards, Kidderminster Library customer assistant, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for young people to really get involved with the way the library works and organises events that appeal to them."

The free event will be held at Kidderminster Library between 3 and 4.30pm on Saturday, February 20.

The project is organised by the Reading Agency in partnership with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, launched in late 2015 and is now going live across the country.
