PATIENTS from a Stourport health practice went on a six-month fundraising campaign to provide much-needed life-saving equipment for the centre.
More than £2,000 was raised by the Patient Participation Group (PPG) at Stourport Health Centre in Worcester Street, to buy a new defibrillator.
Members of the group held a series of events including a Christmas raffle, bag packing in supermarkets, tombola and having a permanent book sale within the practice during the past six months.
Katie Bush, site manager for Wyre Forest Health Partnership, said: “Our patient participation group has recently raised over £2000 to enable the practice to purchase a new defibrillator so that we can provide lifesaving care in an emergency situation.
“I think it is incredible what they have achieved.”
