TWO men have been arrested following an altercation in Stourport, which left one man requiring hospital treatment and another cut by what is thought to have been a blade.

The pair, aged 24 and 47, were arrested and later bailed, in connection with two incidents that took place in Lombard Street at 2pm on August 13.

The first involved two men, one wearing a high visibility top.

During the altercation, the man wearing the high visibility top kicked the other man in the head whilst he was on the floor.

The second altercation happened shortly after and involved the same two men, another man and three women.

One of the men involved sustained a facial injury during the second incident that required hospital treatment.

A second man received a cut to his forearm which is believed to have been implemented by a bladed object.

Investigating officer PC Dave Garner said: "These incidents happened on a busy street, and it is likely that multiple people would have seen what happened.

"We know that several people did stop to help and they may also have information which could assist our enquiries.

"If anybody does have any information then please contact us- no detail is too small and could be of use to the investigation."

Witnesses should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 386s of Saturday 13 August.
