GOLFERS in Cleobury Mortimer will be getting in the swing later this month raise vital funds for a cancer charity.

Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club has teamed up with Dudley-based Mark Greenfield of MG Shopfronts, for the annual Charity Golf Day on September 23 to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The day will consist of coffee and bacon roll on arrival 18 holes of golf, lunch on course and an evening buffet meal, were the presentations will take place.

Prizes worth around 1,000 will be available for the first five teams, there will be a beat the pro and longest drive competition.

And one of those includes the use of either an I8 or 7 Series BMW for a weekend, provided by Benham BMW in Wolverhampton, who is supporting the day.

A golf club spokesman said: “We are delighted to host this event in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust and, want to thank Mark Greenfield of MG Shopfronts for his generosity in becoming the main sponsor. Mark is a member and recommended us to the event organiser.”
