A KIDDERMINSTER supermarket is to re-open to shoppers this week following an extension and refurbishment.

Aldi, in Green Street, will open at 8am on Thursday (October 27) with a special ribbon cutting ceremony with the first Kidderminster Boys Brigade.

In conjunction with the store re-opening, Aldi will also be donating a range of food products and outdoor equipment to the first Kidderminster Boys Brigade and members of the group will be taking part in the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The newly extended store, which has created an extra seven new jobs, is currently recruiting for a variety of roles.

Shoppers will benefit from more than 500 car parking spaces and can expect to choose from 1,500 product lines at the store, including a range of fresh produce and a wide range of weekly ‘Specialbuys’ – occurring every Thursday and Sunday.

John Cockerill, store manager, said: “We are pleased to be re-opening the Kidderminster store following a four-month extension project increasing the store space.

“We hope to see plenty of customers enjoying our opening week offers in store.

“We hope the products donated to the first Kidderminster Boys Brigade will help them in the coming months with their weekly activities.”

Following its re-opening, the store will be open 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
