STAFF at Kidderminster Library have lined up a wild week of adventures for youngsters during February half term.

A number of events will take place at the Market Street library between Monday, February 20, and Saturday, February 25.

Top billing goes to a celebration of the popular picture book, Dear Zoo, on Wednesday (February 22) between 2pm and 3pm.

Children under five are invited to share the book and make their own version, featuring their favourite animals, to take home.

The event also features a prize draw with a family ticket to the West Midland Safari Park up for grabs.

A limited number of tickets are available for the event in advance, for £1.50.

Superheroes, in fancy dress or not, are invited to swoop in for a morning of fun on Saturday, February 25, between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Holly Ferris, library customer advisor, said: "Young visitors can have a go at puzzles and quizzes and test their skills on book-inspired games including Bionic Bingo and Ping Pong Power."

Other sessions during the week including storytime for pre-schoolers on Wednesday, February 22, at 10.30am, and fun music sessions for pre-schoolers on Thursday, February 23, and Friday, February 24, from 10.30am.
