SEVERN Trent are inviting Stourport residents to attend a drop-in session to find out more about works in the town.

The company will build a new water intake and pumping station near Lickhill and laying a new water pipeline for 25km from there to Frankley.

A drop-in session will be held at Stourport’s Civic Hall on Tuesday (March 7) between 4pm and 7pm.

The works is all part of Severn Trent’s Birmingham Resilience Project.

Carol Bloor, from Severn Trent, said: “As we are about to start work to build the new pipeline, we will be holding a drop-in session for local residents to find out more about our plans.

“We will be there, together with our contract partners, Barhale, to answer any questions about the work.

“These sessions are a great way for us to find out how we can minimise the impact of any work on the local community.

“When work begins we will do all we can to help minimise any disruption and we’d like to ask the local community for their patience until the new pipes are in place.”
