THE Community Broadcast Company is appealing for people in Wyre Forest to get involved with their new project.

The Kidderminster-based company's project - the production of two festival short films - offer those living in the area a chance to get involved in a fun and creative project.

The innovative project is designed to offer experience to those out of work or under-employed something interesting and worthwhile to add to their CVs.

Filming for the projects - which will each have a social message, with one about domestic abuse and the other about bullying - will take place at the end of April.

There are active roles available both in front of and behind the camera and no prior experience is necessary, as workshops will take place to teach those involved the necessary media skills to prepare them for the film shoots during which they be supported by a professional crew.

Sachia Mooney, project producer, said: "Whatever your level of experience, we want to hear from you.

"We have cast roles and crew roles available across all departments including camera, sound, art and production.

"Just get in touch to find out more and register your interest."

The team are holding an open day on Thursday, March 30, between 11am and 5pm at their offices in Youth House, in Bromsgrove Street, for those interested to come along to find out more information.

Agreed travel expenses will be covered and refreshments will be provided during the workshops and film shoots.

The Community Broadcast Company has been awarded funding by Worcestershire County Council's community learning fund for the project.
