THE owner of a Bewdley ice cream parlour that has been open for six months is celebrating after gaining a top rating for its food hygiene from Wyre Forest District Council.
Mrs Chills, in Load Street, was awarded a five-star rating by the district council's inspectors.
Inspectors judge outlets on how hygienic and well-managed the food preparation at the premises is and each business is benchmarked against the same criteria - namely hygiene, cleanliness of facilities and management.
Coralie Hill, owner of the ice cream parlour, said: "I am over the moon with the rating as I am totally new to this industry having previously worked as a primary school teacher for the past 15 years.
"I have had a lot to learn very quickly but it has paid off as the inspector said the hygiene, record keeping and understanding of the food allergies side was exemplary practice."
Mrs Chills only opened its doors to residents and visitors to Bewdley town centre in September 2016.
