DIRECTOR James Cameron has announced that the sequels to Avatar are under way and due on screen from 2020.

The original sci-fi epic from 2009 won three Oscars for its stunning visual effects, cinematography and art direction.

DICK Van Dyke has praised Emily Blunt’s performance as Mary Poppins but said “nobody compares” to Dame Julie Andrews after finishing his work on the Disney sequel.

The 91-year-old star said he travelled to London last month to film a “song and dance number on a desk” for Mary Poppins Returns, which will be released on Christmas Day 2018.

EASTENDERS star Adam Woodyatt lauded his “miraculous” son as the pair finished the London Marathon just months after he was run over by a car.

The actor, best known for playing Ian Beale, was comfortably outpaced by his son Sam, despite him being initially left unable to walk from the crash. He spoke of his pride at watching the teenager undertake the challenge despite spending several days in a coma.

TV host Rylan Clark-Neal has denied his new game show is replacing The Chase on the TV schedule, saying it is filling the slot during a planned break.

The star of This Morning will front Babushka, a game show that uses traditional Russian dolls that contain smaller dolls, when The Chase goes on an annual break next month.
