HARRIERS boss John Eustace underlined the importance of carrying momentum into the play-offs ahead of their final league game of the season.

Kidderminster complete their regular campaign against Bradford Park Avenue at Aggborough this Saturday (3pm kick-off) and are looking for the three points that would guarantee them home advantage in the end-of-season shake-up for promotion.

The boss is targeting a good performance from his players so they can also head into the play-offs on a high note.

He said: "We have an exciting couple of weeks coming up but we're very focused on getting a positive result at home against Bradford before anything else.

"We want to finish the season as high as we possibly can and put in another good showing, especially at home.

"I've experienced the play-offs as a player and teams can struggle without momentum so that would be a bonus of coming away with a good, competitive performance on Saturday.

"We're looking forward to it but won't discuss it with the players until after the Bradford Park Avenue game."

Eustace also said he isn't too concerned about who is side face in the promotion shoot-out.

"It doesn't matter who we get. We won't treat it any differently and will just make sure we prepare properly as we have done all season," he added.

"Everyone in the play-offs will be a dangerous side and we'll have to be at our best."

Harriers' place in the play-offs was confirmed last Saturday as they drew 1-1 at Gainsborough Trinity and AFC Fylde finally managed to clinch the title.

They will be away for the first leg on Wednesday, May 3 before the return leg on Sunday, May 7.

Meanwhile, Saturday's goalscorer at Gainsborough, Andre Brown, has attracted interest from Premier League champions Leicester City this week.

The 20-year-old forward played for the Foxes' under-23 side on Monday night. The former Crewe Alexandra youngster didn't score in the 2-2 draw at Reading and is available again for this Saturday's battle with Bradford.

Harriers, however, have continued to build for the future themselves ahead of an exciting climax to the season by tying two more players to new contracts at Aggborough.

James McQuikin and Ryan Croasdale have penned fresh terms to extend their stays in Worcestershire, after making a combined 85 appearances for the team this term and contributing with 11 goals.

McQuilkin began his second spell at Harriers by re-joining last season, playing a key role not only in an encouraging run towards the end of a disappointing campaign, but also by being influential throughout this current term. To-date he’s made more than 75 appearances for the club.

Also staying is 22-year-old Croasdale, who is enjoying the best run of games so far in his young career. He originally joined us back in August on non-contract terms but quickly earned something more permanent with a string of impressive displays.

His efforts have earned him an extended contract at Aggborough until the summer of 2019.
