DOGGERS and drug dealers have forced the closure of a beauty spot near Halesowen.

Distraught bosses at conservation charity Woodland Trust said they had reluctantly made the decision to shut off Uffmoor Wood as a result of a string of anti-social issues such as drug dealing, inappropriate sexual activity, violent dogs and dog fouling.

CLAIMS that a 12-year-old girl was abducted by four men in a black taxi are 'bogus', police have confirmed.

The Pedmore Technology College year seven student claimed she had been abducted and driven around for 90 minutes on Thursday afternoon (May 18), spreading fear amongst parents and teachers across the Black Country.

THE time stroke patients are spending in hospital has dropped as the result of a controversial decision to move Bromsgrove's specialist rehab beds to Evesham, hospital bosses claim.

The Advertiser announced in February that Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust would be consolidating the county's specialist stroke beds at a new ward at Evesham Community Hospital.

A WOMAN was taken to a major trauma unit after being hit by a car in Lower Gornalearlier on Monday.

The incident happened at about 12.20pm on Zoar Street. Two ambulances were sent to the scene where they found a 38-year-old female pedestrian suffering from multiple injuries.
