A BRAVE Kidderminster care home worker helped raise more than £700 as he winced his way through a leg and chest waxing.

Dale Passey had his chest and legs waxed at Herons Park Nursing Home, in Heronswood Road, last Thursday (May 18) to help raise funds to provide 'dementia friendly' activities for the home's residents, as well as the purchase a mobile sensory room.

So far, £730 has been raised at Herons Park.

The waxing was part of a week's worth of activities at the home to raise awareness of dementia during Dementia Awareness Week - which ran between May 15, and May 21.

Events also included a 1940s/50s sing-a-long, an indoor games competition and a coffee morning.
