POLICE have arrested three men in relation to a number of incidents in Kidderminster town centre.

West Mercia Police have arrested the three men following incidents in the town centre between Sunday (June 18) and Tuesday (June 20).

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "The first incident took place at a commercial premises in Oxford Street, shortly after 3pm on Monday (June 19) when a man is reported to have pushed past a member of staff to take money from the till.

"The second incident occurred sometime between 8.40pm and 8.50pm in Coventry Street, when police received a report of a man entering a commercial premises and reaching over to grab money from the till when a member of staff opened it.

"It is believed he verbally threatened the member of staff, before leaving the area on foot.

"Officers are also investigating a third incident that is reported to have taken place in Worcester Street at 11pm on Sunday, when a man entered a woman's car and asked to be driven to a bank, before asking for money and threatening her with what is believed to be a knife.

"The offender left the scene without taking any money and the victim was uninjured."

A 40-year-old man from Worcester and a 37-year-old man from Kidderminster were arrested on Tuesday (June 20) on suspicion of robbery and currently remain in police custody.

A 35-year-old man from Kidderminster has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is also in police custody.
