HARDWORKING pupils who made great strides in their school work have been rewarded by the Rotary Club of Kidderminster.
Youngsters from Birchen Coppice, Cookley Sebright, St Catherines, St Oswalds and Wolverley Sebright Primary School were presented with prizes by Rotary president Mervyn Silcox.
Rather than simply recognising results, Rotarians said they wanted to reward children who had demonstrated perseverance, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to make great progress during the academic year.
Ken Adderley, past president of Rotary Club of Kidderminster, said: “These awards were for effort rather than for achievement.
“The Club would like to thank the staff for deciding which pupil in each year group deserved to be rewarded.”
