INVESTIGATING officers are appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle collision in Kidderminster on Sunday.

The incident took place on the A451, Stourport Road, at the junction with Goldthorn Road, at around 10.50am on Sunday (August 6).

A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "A blue Ford Focus Zetec was heading towards Kidderminster and a blue Suzuki motorbike was travelling in the opposite direction when the two vehicles collided.

"The motorcyclist - a man in his 50s - suffered a serious injury to his back and was taken to hospital. The driver of the Ford Focus - a man in his 30s - was uninjured."

A 35-year-old man, from Kidderminster, was arrested after providing a positive drugs test and has been released under investigation.

Enquiries are currently ongoing, but officers are keen to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.
