GOOD evening. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this afternoon on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but the M5 approach to and through the roadworks Northbound is busy but moving for J2 A4123 (Oldbury) coming from Frankley services. Travel time is 25 minutes. This is causing heavy traffic on A4123 Wolverhampton Road Southbound at A4034 Churchbridge (Birchley Island).

There is also heavy traffic in Dudley on Stafford Street around High Street as well as queueing traffic on A461 Stourbridge Road before Kingswinford Road (Scotts Green Island).

Alcester Road in Burcot is also closed both ways – causing slow traffic – due to burst water main between Pikes Pool Lane and Tutnall Lane / Stoney Lane. Affecting traffic between the M42 J1 and Tardebigge.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, including:

Roadworks, temporary traffic lights and water main work in Hagley on Worcester Road both ways between A456 Kidderminster Road / Summervale Road / Western Road and Station Road.

Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A441 Birmingham Road in Redditch are causing delays both ways at B4101 Dagnell End Road at the roundabout development.

There are also delays due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on B4171 Dudley Road in Rowley Regis between Portway Road and Springfield Lane, as well as on A4100 Highgate Street at Wright's Lane, Cradley Heath.
