THE Saxon Business Park in Stoke Prior has been evacuated and a 200 metre cordon put in place, following a gas leak.

Police were called to reports of a lorry hitting a gas main at 1.38pm today (Monday, August 14).

All staff who work on the Hanbury Road site have been evacuated while firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service deal with the incident.

A MAN was taken to hospital yesterday evening (Sunday, August 13) after a fight broke out in a Stourbridge street.

Emergency services were called to Heath Street just after 8pm last night following reports of an assault.

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, where fighting was going on outside an address, alongside a trio of police cars.

POLICE are appealing for information after the owner of a car had paint poured over their vehicle and the front window screen smashed.

The incident happened in Rushock Close, Redditch, shortly before 8.45pm on Sunday, August 6, when the owner of a red Hyundai Pony discovered paint had been poured over their vehicle and the front window screen had been smashed.

A CHADDESLEY Corbett couple have raised £5,000 for the Meningitis Research Foundation in memory of their Kidderminster doctor.

Paul and Annie Watson, in collaboration with Pedmore Sporting Club, in Stourbridge, have raised the funds through hosting 150 guests at a marquee event at their home.

The couple's GP, John Spalding, sadly died in December 2014 from a new and particularly deadly type of meningitis - meningococcal W meningitis and septicaemia (MenW).

A DRINK driver who was more than four times over the legal limit has been banned from driving for three years.

Louise Mary Monkton, of Penn Road, Rowley Regis, had 153mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when she was caught behind the wheel in Cradley Heath on July 13. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was sent to prison for 14 weeks, suspended for two years and must carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
