RESIDENTS and businesses are being urged to put on their dancing shoes and support a Kidderminster hospice at a charity event.

Hartlebury-based CP Foods UK and Kemp Hospice has teamed up with Kidderminster’s Elements Dance Company Studio to host a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ themed evening.

Strictly Business Gala Dinner will take place on Friday, October 6 at Spring Grove House at West Midland Safari Park and residents and businesses are being urged to get involved.

It is hoped that the evening will raise £20,000 to support a nurse for one year for Kemp Hospice, the charity CP Foods UK have chosen to support.

Cathy Sloan, from Kemp, said: “Aspiring dancers can get in touch with Kemp Hospice for a chance to be part of the evening’s performances.

“They will be partnered with a trained dancer for an individual dance and the group show dance.

All training is provided by Element’s Dance Company and will take place in the weeks running up to the Gala Dinner.

“Competitiveness will help but the main aim is to have fun and raise much needed funds for the hospice.”

Businesses are urged to purchase a table for 10 at £70 per head which will include an entrance drink, three course dinner, disco and the main ‘Strictly’ themed event.

Anyone interested in performing needs to contact Kemp’s fundraising team on fundraising@kemphospice.org.uk or 01562 756000 by Wednesday, August 23.

Tickets can also be booked via the fundraising team before Friday, September 8.
