GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there is heavy traffic on Wolverhampton Road, Moss Grove and Market Street in Kingswinford and queueing traffic on High Street, Pensnett, around High Oak.

There is also heavy traffic in Merry Hill around Mount Pleasant.

There are also areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, including:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

Summervale Road in Hagley is closed both ways due to water main work between Kidderminster Road / Worcester Road / Western Road and Milestone Drive. To access Summervale Road use Church Street off of Worcester Road.

Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A441 Birmingham Road in Redditch are causing delays both ways at B4101 Dagnell End Road at the roundabout development.

There are also delays due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on B4171 Dudley Road in Rowley Regis between Portway Road and Springfield Lane, as well as on A4100 Highgate Street at Wright's Lane, Cradley Heath.

While delays should be expected due to temporary traffic lights and electricity work on A4100 Forge Lane in Cradley Heath at Chester Road/Woods Lane until September 5.
