A GROUP of air cadets sparked a police search when they lost their bearings in the Wyre Forest.
An SOS was sent out to the emergency services at around 7.20pm last night (Sunday, September 10) when the team of 10 got stranded in the Forestry Commission owned land near Bewdley.
West Mercia Police officers carried out a search of the area before the group was discovered more than an hour later.
A spokesman said: “Police were called at around 7.20pm yesterday to a report that a group of young people were lost in the Wyre Forest.
“Officers were coordinating a search when, following information from a member of the public, the young people were located safe and well at around 8.40pm.”
