A CAR crashed into a house in Kidderminster, after being involved in another collision with a van.

Emergency services crews were called to reports of a two vehicle collision in Sion Hill at around 3pm on Sunday (September 10).

The two vehicles - a Smart car and a Hyundai van - had been involved in a crash, and it is then believed one of the vehicles crashed into a house on Sion Hill.

Firefighters from Kidderminster station freed a woman who was trapped in the car. The woman, in her 40s, was taken to hospital with chest and knee injuries.

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.05pm to Sion Hill to reports of a collision between a car and a house.

"There was one patient, a woman in her 40s, who was cut out of the car by the fire service.

"She was treated for chest and knee pain and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital.

"One ambulance, a rapid response paramedic and a paramedic officer attended the scene."

A spokesman for West Mercia Police added: "The incident happened on Sion Hill and involved a black and red Smart car and a black Hyundai van that had been in collision.

"After the intial collision, it is reported that the Smart car has then collided with a house on Sion Hill.

"The occupants of the property were uninjured.

"The driver of the Smart car, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances involving the incident and we are appealing to the public who may have witnessed the incident, to please come forward and contact police."
