A MAN was struck on the head when he was walking near Kidderminster town centre.

West Mercia Police is investigating the report of an assault in Comberton Hill on Tuesday, October 31, between 10pm and 11pm.

It is reported that a man in his 40s was struck on his head from behind with an unknown object, as he left KFC to walk home.

The offender has been described as a white male, aged between 30 to 35-years-old and approximately 6ft3in in height. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with the hood pulled up over his head and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

Enquiries are currently on-going, but West Mercia Police are keen for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101, quoting incident reference number 303S of October 31.
