RACING fans in Wyre Forest are being invited to a special ‘night at the races’ in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The Acorns Support Group for North Worcestershire is hosting the event at Kidderminster Carolians Rugby Club on Marlpool Lane at 7.30pm on Friday (November 17), to raise vital funds for the charity’s Hospice for the Three Counties, based in Worcester.

The tickets – priced at £10 – also includes a fish and chip supper.

John Jenkins, chairman of the Acorns Support Group for North Worcestershire and organizer of the event, said: “The race night is the latest in a series of fundraising events for our local Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester, and once again we are grateful for the support from Kidderminster Carolians Rugby Club in providing the room for us to host the event for such a great cause.

“While the night is set to be lots of fun, the serious message is that Acorns relies on fundraising events like these to provide much needed resources for families in the region.

“So, if you fancy a fun night at the races, including a delicious fish supper, then get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets are available at The King & Castle pub by asking for Sadie Gill or by contacting her on 07984 674630 or email brennansadie@live.co.uk. People can also contact John Jenkins on 07803 153992 or via email on jenkins-john@btconnect.com
