FOUR people have been arrested and a police officer praised for her brave pursuit of a suspected gunman after a dramatic chase in Stourbridge on Saturday night (November 18).

The female PC and another officer had been called to reports of a burglary in Park Street when the drama unfolded at around 10.15pm on Saturday night (November 18).

A KIDDERMINSTER sex offender who download indecent images of children being sexually abused was told by a judge such actions made her blood ‘run cold’ and her heart 'sink'.

Edward Mason, aged 48, of Clent Avenue, admitted three counts of making indecent images of children and one of count of possessing a single extreme pornographic image when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday (November 15).

QUICK-THINKING members of the public and police officers have been praised for helping to save a man who had jumped from a motorway bridge on the M5 near Frankley Services on Friday night (November 17).

West Midlands Police and West Mercia Police response officers arrived at the Illey Lane bridge which runs over the motorway, near Halesowen, within a matter of minutes after being alerted at 6pm - and they successfully managed to reach through the railings to support the man’s weight before pulling him back to safety.
