WYRE Forest Young Voices Choir will be capturing the spirit of Christmas in song at Marks and Spencer in Kidderminster to raise vital funds for a children's charity.

The local choir which is made up of a group of talented ten to 18-year-olds will be performing a selection of festive favourites on Saturday (December 9) between 10.30am and 12pm.

The choral showcase is open to all and the group will be entertaining shoppers with a variety of classic carols - which are expected to bring some seasonal cheer to customer's Christmas shopping in store.

All donations received during the performance will go to Kidderminster-based charity, Crackerjacks Children's Trust - which provides respite breaks, specialist equipment and support to families for children with disabilities. The charity was chosen by colleagues at M&S in Kidderminster as the store's charity of the year for 2017.

Sam Fitch, commercial operations section manager at M&S Kidderminster and the store's Plan A Charity champion, said: "We can't wait to welcome Wyre Forest Young Voices Choir on Saturday (December 9), to help raise funds for a charity which is so close to our hearts.

"Working with the community to support local causes is something we are all really passionate about and, at this time of year in particular, we are reminded of the importance of giving back and supporting each other.

"We are dedicated to making every moment special for our customers and we hope shoppers enjoy the festive entertainment, all for a fantastic cause."
