LOVE it or loathe it the TV Licence is a fact of life for most people who own a set in the UK.
The annual fee for a licence is £147 which is used to fund the BBC.
The latest figures from the BBC show the corporation received an annual income in 2017 of £3,787m from licence fee payers.
Most of the cash is spent on making TV programmes, each month the BBC spends £12.13 of licence fee income per UK household - out of that £6.92 goes on TV.
