KIDDERMINSTER-based Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) has been given a welcome cash boost to buy much needed equipment.
Kind staff at Go Ape Wyre raised money for the volunteer rescue service through various activities.
And their efforts saw them collect an impressive total of £1,143.12, which they presented to volunteers at SARA’s base in Kidderminster Fire Station.
A spokesman for SARA thanked Go Ape and said the money will be used to purchase personal kit for each crew member.
This includes an underwater camera probe along with a rechargeable battery, 10 folding rescue knives, whistles, glow sticks, four rescue wading poles, a four metre reach pole and belts.
SARA relies on donations for funding and supports police, fire and ambulance for rescues in hazardous situations.
