KIDDERMINSTER born musician Nick J Townsend has undergone a monstrous makeover in support of a Vampire, Aliens and Cyborg fantasy art exhibition.

The frontman of alternative rock band Weak13 has been working with artist Keith Roberts by modelling for his sci-fi art exhibition. It is currently being held at Kidderminster Library and will run until May 4.

Artist Keith Roberts said: "The exhibition of fantasy art features paintings of gothic vampires, alien warriors and much more.

“My inspiration is classic old sci-fi movies and super hero comics."

Alternative rocker Nick, along with other participants, were photographed to replicate some of Keith’s fantasy paintings. The photographs based on the artwork are also included in the exhibition.

Keith added: "Nick J Townsend had just the right look for the photographic recreation of one of my cyborg warriors.

“He was very professional."

Nick was happy to support Keith on the project as he liked his style of art.

He said: "We had a photo shoot at Far Forest Studio and their team basically painted me up to look like a cyborg to recreate one of Keith's Paintings.

“I had to remain still for hours, something I'm comfortable with as it's not the first time I've had to dress up strange; for the sake of art it was necessary."
