KIND karate students in Kidderminster will be boxing clever next month to help raise money and awareness for Cancer Research.

Young Gloves Karate are inviting members of the community to join them in a one hour boxercise event on May 13 from 10-11am.

The class is being designed for any level of age, fitness and ability with the main aim being to have fun and raise vital funds.

Club founder Justin Thomas said they have raised almost £60,000 over the last 15 years for children's charities through fundraising events.

Just last month, the club held a charity boxercise class in Birmingham Children's Hospital's Paediatric Centre which cares for sick children suffering with cancer

Mr Thomas said: "The quality of the karate within the club has always been excellent, as demonstrated by the amount of quality black belts trained over the years and National and International Champions.

"However it's the community spirit that the club holds that makes me most proud.

"To be part of such an incredible club, making a difference to our community makes us a very special, unique club indeed."
