RESIDENTS can put their best foot forward this month by taking part in range of activities organised by Wyre Forest District Council.

The council’s ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ programme promotes everyday things people can do to help improve their mood and overall health.

The ‘5 Ways’ are ‘Be Active’, ‘Connect’, ‘Keep Learning’, ‘Take notice’ and ‘Give’. During February and March the council focussed on the ‘Connect’ theme, now it is highlighting ‘Be Active’.

Throughout the month, the council is incorporating National Walking Month into the ‘Be Active’ programme in a bid to get residents on their feet.

There will be a whole host of activities going on throughout the district from a forage walk to a treasure hunt.

Councillor Chris Rogers, Cabinet Member for Housing, Health and Wellbeing, said: “The 5 Ways to Wellbeing campaign has been a great success so far with people from all walks of life getting involved.

“I encourage anyone who needs that bit of motivation to get active or just fancies a stroll to come along to one of the events happening throughout the district in May.”
