STOURPORT music fans are invited to shake, rattle and roll to a returning 50s themed park party.

The Rock ‘N’ Roll – Party in the Park will bring the sights and sounds of the 50s to the Riverside Meadows on Sunday June 3 from 11am-6pm.

The free throwback event, organised by Wyre Forest District Council, will feature live music from Rock ‘N’ Roll bands including The Stingrays, Straight Aces, Delray Rockets and Lady & the Sax.

There will also be a cars showcase where owners can flaunt their classic motors.

Enthusiasts can register for a pitch by filling out a form via www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/rocknroll - with a charge of £5 per car.

Councillor Juliet Smith, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection, said: “This free concert promises to be a great start to your summer.

"There will be a wide variety of talented bands, artists, stalls and classic cars.

“I’m really excited about our summer programme, so keep an eye on our website and social media pages where we will continue to keep you updated on future events”.

Any market stall owners who are interested in holding a stand at the event can submit an enquiry by visiting www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/tradestall
